Dr. Schwarcz prioritizes patient comfort, both in the dentist’s chair and during consultation. You’ll be able to get your questions answered and feel more confident about your care after a chat with Dr. Schwarcz. She is an ADA member and a member of the Michigan Dental Association and the Detroit District Dental Society.
One of the reasons Dr. Schwarcz’s patients feel so connected to her is that she's not your typical dentist. Sure, she values exercise and has a great love for the outdoors, long bike rides with her family, and hikes through the woods — but she also has a voracious sweet tooth!
Dr. Schwarcz’s newest hobby revolves around exploring the world of bean-to-bar chocolatiers, and she readily admits that those long bike rides... often end at an ice cream shop. Patients bracing for a lecture about avoiding sweets won’t get one in Dr. Schwarcz’s chair (although she might explain how to make sure to brush really well after enjoying a post-cycling ice cream treat!). To find out how Dr. Schwarcz can help you enjoy your favorite foods again (or to learn about the latest developments in the world of artisanal chocolates), schedule an appointment for a consultation at Whole Dental Wellness today.
Dr. Ogie Sabageh is a perfect fit for Whole Dental Wellness.
Dr Ogie has wanted to be a healthcare provider since he was a young boy. Initially he dreamt of being a doctor after learning the importance of preventative care while witnessing the management of chronic diseases in people he knew and loved. But after shadowing a friend’s mom, who was a dentist, he pivoted. He, like the rest of the clinical staff at WDW see how critical overall health and wellness is tied to oral health.
Originally from Nigeria, he also lived in the United Arab Emirates before he and his parents emigrated to Windsor, Ontario, when he was 9. Dr Ogie, who still resides in Windsor, is married, and has two young daughters. A hands-on Dad, he enjoys cooking with his kids, though cleaning up after it, he says, is not as much fun! He loves sports; basketball is #1 and soccer a close 2nd. He also plays several musical instruments and loves listening to Podcasts and audiobooks.
When not practicing dentistry or spending time with his family, Dr Ogie pursues opportunities for continuing education. “Technology has always intrigued me, and I love discovering what I can do using the latest technology. I want to be able to provide that best possible care for my patients and do it with the latest techniques and as efficiently as possible.”
“I love the ability to get patients out of pain, and I love the joy of restoring a patient’s smile or giving them the ability to eat and function better.”
After graduating from Wayne State University, he studied dentistry at NYU. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentists and the Michigan Academy of General Dentists.
